MIAMI (March 27, 2021) - The No. 13 FIU beach volleyball team concluded the Surf & Turf Invitational with games against Tulane and No. 20 Florida Gulf Coast at the FIU Beach Courts on Saturday. The team topped the Green Wave 3-2 and the ranked Eagles 3-2.
Federica Frasca and
Roberta Ribeiro went 2-0 on court one, taking down Tulane 21-12, 21-15 and FGCU 21-17, 17-21, 15-9.
Paige Kalkhoff and
Abbie Hughes closed out their undefeated weekend on court four with a 21-17, 15-21, 15-8 win over the Green Wave and a 21-11, 21-14 win over Florida Gulf Coast.
The Panthers are back in action Thursday, April 1, when the team travels to Florida Memorial for contests against St. Thomas and FMU. First serve against the Lions is set for 10:30 a.m. ET. FIU faces STU at 1:30 p.m.
