DALLAS (March 6, 2021) – Conference USA announced the full bracket for the 2021 Air Force Reserve C-USA Basketball Championships presented by Baylor Scott & White Sports Performance Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas. The FIU women's basketball team will face Southern Miss in Frisco, Texas, on Wednesday, March 10, at Noon ET.

FIU and USM have met twice already this season, with the Panthers and Golden Eagles splitting their weekend series in Hattiesburg. The first-round showdown between the Panthers and Golden Eagles in Frisco, Texas, will be aired on ESPN+. 

The Panthers will be slotted as a fourth seed from the East Division, while the Golden Eagles will be slated as the fifth seed out of the West Division. The fourth seed is the highest for FIU in its C-USA history. 

Under first-year head coach Jesyka Burks-Wiley, the Panthers have earned a 12-11 record overall and 8-8 mark in league action. The 12 wins are the most for FIU since 2013-14, while the eight conference wins are the most ever for FIU in its C-USA history.
