DALLAS (April 11, 2021) - FIU's Sydney Amparo was named to the Conference USA Women's Soccer All-Academic Team, the league office announced on Sunday. 

To be eligible for the C-USA All-Academic Team, nominees must hold a minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA, be a starter or key reserve for their team and be at least a sophomore academically. 

Amparo has earned a perfect 4.00 GPA as a Rehabilitation and Recreational Therapy major at FIU. 

On the pitch, Amparo posted a hat trick in FIU's win over Marshall earlier this season, as the Panther was named the C-USA Offensive Player of the Week for her efforts. The win was FIU's first in program history over Marshall and the first C-USA victory for the Panthers since 2016.
