DELAND, Florida (April 17, 2021) - The No. 13 FIU beach volleyball team closed out the regular season by facing No. 14 Florida Atlantic and No. 17 Stetson at the Stetson Tri-Match on Saturday. The Panthers went 2-0 at the Cooper Beach Courts, knocking off the Owls and the host Hatters 3-2.

The Panthers had two pairs go undefeated for the day, with Abbie Hughes and Paige Kalkhoff sweeping both matches on court four and Lina Bernier and Ali Denney topping both opponents on court three. Hughes and Kalkhoff move to 23-3 this season while riding an 18-match winning streak into the postseason. Bernier and Denney are undefeated this season at 4-0.

Next week, the Panthers head to Huntsville, Alabama, for the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) Championships. The three-day conference championship is set to begin Friday, April 23.
