MIAMI (August 28, 2021) – The FIU indoor volleyball team continued its 2021 season with a contest against Miami (FL) on Saturday afternoon. The Panthers dropped the contest to the Hurricanes  3-0. The score stood at 25-10, 25-14, 25-22 in favor of UM.

FIU fell to 0-2 on the season while Miami went to 2-0 for the year.

The Panthers posted 44 digs, 25 assists and 27 kills during the match. Emma Erteltova led the team offensively with nine kills while Valeria Santos anchored the defense with 12 digs.

FIU heads to the Hilton Garden Inn FGCU Classic next weekend where the Panthers face off against Florida A&M, USC Upstate and tournament host Florida Gulf Coast from September 3-4.
