TAMPA (March 1, 2022) – FIU baseball fell on Tuesday night, as the Panthers dropped a midweek matchup with the USF Bulls, 7-0.
The Bulls scored in each of the first four innings for a 5-0 lead after four before adding single runs in the seventh and eighth for the final 7-0 advantage.
Adrian Figueroa reached base three times with a base hit and two walks. The FIU quartet of
Steven Ondina,
Robert Sotolongo,
Noel Perez and
Matthew Gonzalez each added a base knock of their own.
In his first start as a Panther,
Drake Batcho pitched 1.1 innings, allowing two runs and striking out three. The lefty from Warren, Ohio was tagged with the loss.
