RUSTON, Louisiana (March 26, 2022) – The FIU baseball team dropped Saturday's matinee 12-0 to the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs.
Despite being tagged with the loss, Panther starter
Patrick Pridgen only surrendered two earned runs over his five innings of work while fanning seven Bulldog batters.
Catcher
Jayden Melendez tallied two hits on the afternoon. The FIU trio of
Alec Sanchez,
Jorge Ramirez and
Steven Ondina each had a base knock on Saturday.
The Bulldogs plated two runs in the third off Pridgen before scoring four in the sixth and finishing off the 12-0 decision with six more in the eighth.
