FIU Women's Soccer Unveils 2022 Schedule

Panthers to host seven games at FIU Soccer Stadium this fall

MIAMI, Fla. – FIU head women's soccer coach Jonathan Garbar announced the 2022 schedule on Friday, highlighted by seven home matches at FIU Soccer Stadium this upcoming fall.
 
 
FIU will play eight games during the non-conference, two of which the Panthers will host in Miami, followed by 10 Conference USA matches under head coach Jonathan Garbar's third season at the helm of the program.
 
The Panthers have a pair of exhibition matches scheduled to help prepare for the season, as FIU will travel to face Lynn University on Aug. 12 while hosting Palm Beach Atlantic on Aug. 15 before officially kicking the season off on Aug. 18 at Louisiana in Lafayette, La.
 
FIU then returns home to Miami to host Mississippi State at FIU Soccer Stadium in its home opener on Aug. 21, followed by matches at Stetson on Aug. 25 and the Panthers' final home non-conference tilt versus Southern on Aug. 28. FIU then closes the non-conference slate with a four-match road swing at Miami (Sept. 1), Lipscomb (Sept. 4), Alcorn State (Sept. 8) and Florida Gulf Coast (Sept. 11).
 
Conference USA action commences on Sept. 15, as the Panthers open league play in the Lone Star State with matches at UTEP on Sept. 15 and Rice on Sept. 18. The squad then returns to play four of its next five matches at FIU Soccer Stadium, hosting UAB (Sept. 22), UTSA (Sept. 25), Western Kentucky (Oct. 7) and North Texas (Oct. 13), while playing at Louisiana Tech amid the five-game swing on Oct. 2.
 
Next, FIU completes the road slate with matches at Charlotte on Oct. 23 and FAU on Oct. 26, while finishing the regular season with its home finale against Middle Tennessee on Oct. 29.

The 2022 C-USA Soccer Championship will be held in Charlotte, N.C. on Monday, Oct. 31 through Sunday, Nov. 6, hosted by Charlotte at Transamerica Field.
