MIAMI, Fla. – The FIU women's basketball team announced its full 2022-23 schedule on Friday, consisting of 29 games that include 9 nonconference matchups, 18 home contests, and 20 Conference USA games. 

Head Coach Jesyka Burks-Wiley is entering her third year at the helm with FIU and the team kicks off the season on Wednesday, Nov. 9, hosting North Carolina Central and Florida Gulf Coast University (Nov. 13). FGCU is coming off an incredible season finishing with an impressive 29-2 record. At the end of the season, they were ranked as high as 20th in the nation in the Coaches Poll. 

The Panthers' first road game of the season is against Jacksonville University on Nov. 19. They will return home for five consecutive games and the first three games are part of the FIU Thanksgiving classic. During the tournament, the Panthers will host Howard on Friday, Nov. 25, and compete on Nov. 27 against the University of Massachusetts or Drake. 

FIU will finish off the homestand on Dec. 4 against Kennesaw State University before hitting the road for one game to play Florida Atlantic University on Dec. 13 as the Conference USA opener.  

The Panthers return to nonconference play the following week when they host the FIU Holiday Hoops Showdown. FIU will play two games starting on Dec. 19 against George Mason and wrap up the showdown the following day, Dec. 20, against Bradley. 

The rest of their Conference USA action begins on Saturday, Dec. 31 hosting North Texas at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center. That's followed up by two road games against Charlotte (Jan. 5) and UAB (Jan. 7). 

Their home matchup against FAU on Jan. 11 marks the midway point of the season. The Panthers remain in Miami for the following game against Western Kentucky on Jan. 14. before a streak of Texas opponents. 

FIU will play North Texas on Jan. 16 and return to the Ocean Bank Center to play UTEP on Jan. 19 and UTSA on Jan. 21.  

The home stretch of the season has FIU playing at home for five of their last 11 games starting on Feb. 2 against Charlotte. Their next home game is against UAB on Feb. 4. before taking the road again against Louisiana Tech (Feb. 9) and then Rice (Feb. 11). 

After three more games, including a home matchup against Middle Tennessee on Feb. 18, FIU wraps up the regular season with a pair of games at home against Louisiana Tech (Mar. 2) and Rice (Mar.4).
