FORT MYERS, Fla. – On a breezy Tuesday night, FIU earned their eighth win of the season on the road, with a clean-sheet victory over the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles, 1-0, wrap up the non-conference action.

Simon Afrifa put the Panthers (8-2-3, 4-0-1AAC) ahead in the 30th minute and FIU's defense locked down from there, securing its four clean sheet and notched their sixth win in the past seven games.

Afrifa netted the lone goal of the night off a find from Andrew Bennett. The senior has now scored in back-to-back games for the first time in his Panther career.

In net, Tyler Hogan stopped four shots and earned his third clean sheet in the win, playing all 90 minutes.

On the night, FIU totaled for five shots from Afrifa, Diego Castillo, Julien Gastaldy, Bernardo Dos Santos Monteiro , Eduardo Mustre.
