BOCA RATON, Fla. – The No. 14 FIU Men's Soccer Team (8-3-3) was unable to rally after allowing a pair of goals as it dropped a match for the second time on the road by the margin of 2-1 on Friday against the Florida Atlantic Owls.
The Owls recorded a pair of goals in the 11th minute and the 47th minute before cutting the deficit in half on a goal by junior Eduardo Mustre, before falling short of a comeback in the second half.
The Panthers and Owls combined for 26 shots as FIU recorded five shots on goal in the night.
Mustre tallied his team-leading ninth goal of the night. His 20 points are the most recorded by a first-year Panther in program history.
In net, Tyler Hogan recorded a pair of saves on the road.

The Panthers will return home for the final home match of the season for senior night, taking on the Charlotte 49ers on Friday, Oct. 27.
