FORT MYERS, Fla. — FIU's women's volleyball program dropped a back-and-forth five-set match on the road at FGCU on Tuesday evening in non-conference action.
The Panthers (9-13) started off strong and led 2-1, of which included an 18-kill third set. FGCU (16-5) claimed the final two frames to secure the comeback victory.
Jade Sadeiko led the offensive effort with 16 kills at a .209 clip. In the middle, Yasso Amin and Travel Morris combined for 15 kills. Kindyl Kilar posted a season-high nine kills and played five sets.
Gianna Tagoa'i dished out 32 assists, starting and playing all five sets. Amin and Sadeiko also led the blocking with 5.0 blocks each.
FIU returns to its Conference USA slate this weekend, traveling to Lynchburg, Va. for two matches at Liberty on Oct. 20-21.
