LYNCHBURG, Va. — FIU's volleyball program suffered a four-set defeat on the road at Liberty in Conference USA (CUSA) play on Friday evening.
After falling behind 2-0, the Panthers (9-14, 5-4 CUSA) earned a third-set victory, 25-19, before Liberty closed out the fourth set and match with an identical 25-19 score.
Jade Sadeiko paced the offense with 15 kills and a .462 attack percentage. Syra Tanchin posted 14 kills in support and had a double-double with 17 digs.
Amber Beals racked up a team-high 20 digs to lead the defense. Savannah Cook dished out 42 assists as the offense hit .266.
Travel Morris led the blocking effort with 6.0 blocks as the Panthers' out-blocked Liberty 12-7.
FIU and Liberty will play again tomorrow at 1 p.m. ET in Lynchburg, Va. The match will be streamed live on ESPN+.
