MIAMI — FIU's volleyball program won in four sets over Jacksonville State on Friday evening in Conference USA (CUSA) play.
The Panthers (11-14, 7-4 CUSA) dropped the opening set to Jax State (5-16, 3-8 CUSA), 25-23, before winning three unanswered frames to secure the result in four.
Jade Sadeiko led the attack with 16 kills and hit .265, adding 10 digs. Syra Tanchin chipped in 12 kills while Yasso Amin had 11.
FIU's defense held Jax State to an .097 hitting percentage while the Panthers hit at a .219 clip. Mandi Morioka had 16 digs to lead the defensive effort. Savannah Cook dished out 42 assists in the victory.
FIU takes on Jax State tomorrow, Saturday, Oct. 28, at 1 p.m. in the final match of their two-game set.
