EL PASO, Texas — FIU's volleyball program dropped its opening match of a two-game set at UTEP on Friday evening in Conference USA (CUSA) action.
The Panthers (9-11, 5-2 CUSA) fell in straight sets to the Miners (12-6, 4-3 CUSA), 25-18, 25-18 and 25-19.
Travel Morris had an outstanding game, posting nine kills and zero errors with a .750 attack percentage. Yasso Amin chipped in eight kills and added one solo block and three block assists.
Savannah Cook dished out 22 assists and collected four digs. Mandi Morioka had a team-high nine digs.
FIU wraps up its series with UTEP on Sunday, Oct. 8 at 2 p.m. ET. The match will be streamed live on ESPN+.
