EL PASO, Texas — FIU's volleyball program was swept at UTEP in Conference USA (CUSA) action on Sunday.
For the second consecutive day, the Panthers (9-12, 5-3 CUSA) dropped a three-set contest to the Miners (13-6, 5-3 CUSA), 25-16, 25-20 and 25-10. This is FIU's first two-match defeat in CUSA play.
Jade Sadeiko led the attack with 10 kills, hitting .217. Travel Morris and Yasso Amin added five kills each. UTEP racked up 10 aces in the match and hit .461 to FIU's .200.
FIU takes on FGCU in non-conference action next week, Tuesday, Oct. 17 at 6 p.m. in Ft. Myers, Fla.
