BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — FIU's volleyball program fell to 23rd-ranked Western Kentucky on Saturday afternoon in Conference USA (CUSA) play.
The Panthers (12-16, 8-6 CUSA) battled in all three sets, but fell to Western Kentucky (24-4, 14-0 CUSA), which clinched the CUSA Regular Season Championship with the win.
Jade Sadeiko led the offense with 11 kills. Yasso Amin was FIU's most efficient hitter with seven kills and a .350 attack percentage.
Savannah Cook finished with 24 assists and 10 digs. Sadeiko also had three service aces.
With two regular season matches to go against New Mexico State, FIU could finish anywhere from third to sixth in the CUSA standings.
The Panthers take on New Mexico State on. Nov. 10-11 at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center. FIU will then head to Lynchburg, Va. for the CUSA Tournament.
