Murfreesboro, Tenn. (April 1, 2023) – Baseball and Middle Tennessee faced off in game two of their C-USA series on Saturday with the Panthers falling to the Blue Raiders, 14-8.

Mike Rosario continued to hit well against MTSU going 4-5 with two walks and an RBI. Over the two matchups with the Blue Raiders he is 7-9 with three RBI.

The Panthers would strike first, taking a 1-0 lead in the top of the first.

After three-consecutive singles a
Ryne Guida SAC fly to center field would drive in Rosario.
Â
The Blue Raiders were not down long, tying the game up in their half of the first inning.
Â
FIU would continue to score adding four more runs in the second.
Â
Rosario would get the scoring started with a single to center.
Bryan Loriga would then hit a double deep down the left field line to score two.
Alec Sanchez would close out the flurry with a RBI single through the second baseman, bringing the score to 5-1.

The scoring would not let up as MTSU responded again, this time with two runs to cut the FIU advantage to 5-3.

FIU would score runs for the third-straight inning, putting up two in third.
Â
The Panther's would need no hits to score their two runs as a walk, hit-by-pitch and two errors allowed two Panthers to reach home.

The scoring would not let up with Middle Tennessee pushing home 10 runs over the next two innings to go ahead 13-7.

The bats cool down the rest of the game with Middle Tennessee coming out on top, 14-8.
