Manhattan Beach, CA. – The No. 16 FIU beach volleyball team (10-14, 0-1 CUSA) wrapped up its west coast road trip this past weekend in the East Meets West Invitational hosted by UCLA and came out with a win against No.8 Hawai'i in day two of the event at the Manhattan Beach Pier sand volleyball courts.  
 
Overall for the tournament, the Panthers went 1-3 dropping matches against No.2 UCLA, No. 7 Loyola Marymount, and No. 3 USC. The win over Hawai'i is the Panthers third win over a ranked opponent this season.

UP NEXT
The Panthers' road trip continues as they had back to Florida to participate in the Osprey Beach Invitational hosted by the University of North Florida from Friday, April 7 through Saturday, April 8 at the Cooper Beach Volleyball Complex. FIU will take on Saint Leo University and UNF in day one of the tournament and UNCW and Mercer University in day two.
