Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – The No. 12 FIU beach volleyball team (17-15, 1-2 CUSA) entered the Conference USA tournament as the No.1 seed and lost their first-round match against No. 4 seed UAB 3-2 on Thursday April 27 at Fort Lauderdale Beach Park.
The loss moves the Panthers over to the consolation bracket, but they still have a chance to make the championship round since the tournament is two-game elimination.
