Gulf Shoes, Ala. – The No. 15 ranked FIU beach volleyball team (20-16, 4-3 C-USA) will enter the NCAA Tournament as the 13
th seed taking on the 4
th seed Florida State University this Friday, May 5 at 12:00 p.m. ET in Gulf Shores Public Beach.
The Panthers are coming off a championship round appearance in the Conference USA tournament but fell to the FAU Owls 3-0. FIU went 3-2 overall during the tournament and earned their seventh win over a ranked opponent this season after defeating No.18 Tulane in the quarterfinals.
Despite the loss in the championship round, the Panthers earned an at-large bid for the NCAA Championships and will make their return to the tournament for the first time since 2018.
