MIAMI – FIU women's soccer dropped their final non-conference matchup of the season, losing to Florida Atlantic, 2-0 on senior night Sunday.
Prior to the match, the Panthers honored seniors Maaike van Klink, Maya Cabrera, Anna Rockett, Paige Davis, and Dominique Marcelli.
It was scoreless in the first 45 minutes with FIU leading in shots.
Into the second half, Florida Atlantic tallied their first goal in the 62nd minute from Sofia Voldby that found the bottom left of the net.
Seven minutes later in the 69th minute, the Owls added their second goal on a penalty kick by Malaya Melancon.
On the night, FIU outshot FAU, 11-5, with junior Noemi Paquin leading with three shots.
