Kennesaw, Ga. – The Panthers (10-4, 5-1 CUSA) snap their seven-game win streak after dropping their contest to Kennesaw State (3-8-4, 2-2-3 CUSA) in a 3-0 loss.

FIU was on the attack from the first horn and kept the aggression throughout the match. The Panthers would end the game with more shots and shots on goal than the Owls, getting off 25 shots and seven shots on goal to Kennesaw State's four shots and three shots on goal.

The match was scoreless until the 28th minute, when Kennesaw State was able to get behind the Panther defense and score their first of the match. The teams would go into the half with the Owls up a score on FIU. It is the first time the Panthers have gotten shutout in the first half since September 19 in a win over Middle Tennessee.

Out of the half, the Owls scored their second of the game at the 52:15 mark, going up 2-0. Kennesaw State would score one more goal in the match in the 87th minute before the final horn sounded.

The Panthers developed four shots on goal in the second half, but could not find the back of the net, getting shutout for the first time since September 1. 

UP NEXT 

FIU will return home for their first of three in a row at Leyva Family Field at FIU Soccer Stadium, the beginning of the end of the regular season. The Panthers will face off against UTEP on November 24 at 11 a.m., the rescheduled match from the previously rained out October 6 game.
