MIAMI - The FIU baseball program fell just short to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Sunday afternoon, unable to rally off a ninth-inning in a 3-1 decision from FIU Baseball Stadium.

Cameron Knox made his first career start as a Panther, allowing two earned runs over 3.1 innings, while striking out five and giving up no hits.
The Fighting Irish scored first on a two-run single fourth before a solo home run in the eighth off the bat of David Glancy.
FIU bullpen of
David Eckaus,
Bryce Greene,
Richie Pena,
Jaydon Bishop held Notre Dame to just one run over 5.2 innings of work.
Frett had a two-hit performance with a triple in addition to his home run.
Ulla recorded a three-hit game, his fourth multi-hit effort of the season.
