MIAMI – The FIU volleyball program capped off its weekend with another dominant showing, rolling to a straight-set sweep over Delaware on Saturday afternoon from the Ocean Bank Convocation Center.
FIU (12-8, 6-2 CUSA) secured its fourth consecutive victory and sixth sweep of the 2025 season, marking back-to-back straight-set wins against the Blue Hens.
The Panthers have now swept three of their first four Conference USA series, earning clean 2-0 weekends against Missouri State, Sam Houston, and Delaware.
The Panthers cruised to set victories of 25-20, 25-8, and 25-20 to seal the weekend sweep.
Senior
Kira Givans continued her impressive form, leading the offense with 12 kills and three blocks. The Sacramento, Calif., native has now recorded double-digit kills in 12 matches this season, including six of her last seven.
Freshman
Rebekah Pfefferkorn added 10 kills and four blocks, marking her fifth double-digit performance of the year. Graduate student
Sofie Vogel delivered a career performance at the net, recording a career-high nine blocks to go along with nine kills and two service aces.
Sophomore
Jillian Huckabey contributed seven kills and six digs, while senior
Magda Stambrowska added five kills in the middle.
Setter
Savannah Cook guided the attack with 31 assists and seven digs, while libero
Mandi Morioka anchored the back row with a match-high 16 digs.
UP NEXT
FIU hits the road to Fort Myers, Florida to take on the FGCU Eagles on Tuesday, Oct. 21 at 6 p.m.. Match will be streamed live on ESPN+ from Alico Arena.
