FIU will open their campaign at the Husky Invite with a matchup against Oregon, marking the first-ever meeting between the two programs. The Ducks began the season strong, winning their first three matches, but have since struggled, dropping 12 straight. However, Oregon enters the contest on a two-match win streak, with recent victories over Bushnell and Portland, and will look to build on that momentum against the Panthers.
FIU's toughest challenge of the tournament will come against No. 9 Long Beach State, facing the 49ers in their second match on both day one and day two. LBSU has had an impressive season, boasting an 18-10 record and six wins over ranked opponents, including a recent victory over No. 6 Cal Poly in their last tournament appearance.
On day two, the Panthers will take on the host school, No. 20 Washington (11-13), in their first match of the day. This will be the second meeting between the two teams this season. FIU claimed a narrow 3-2 win in the first matchup, when Washington was ranked No. 14.
