SEATTLE, Wash. – No. 19 FIU finishes the Husky Invitational with a 1-3 record, their lone victory coming against Oregon.
Day One
The Panthers started the meet against the Oregon Ducks, the first time the two programs have played each other. FIU started strong, with Katarina Drozd and Brianna Luoma notching the Panthers' first point on court three in straight sets (21-14, 21-17). The Ducks were able to take the lead with wins on courts four and one, but Julia Panko and Nicole Robison tied the match up at two a piece with a win on court two in three sets (17-21, 21-15, 15-12). Zoe Cahill and Kendra Brown clinched the win for FIU on court five, winning their first set 21-19 before dropping set two, and prevailing in set three with a 15-8 victory.

The Panthers matched up against No. 9 Long Beach State in their second contest of day one, falling 4-1. FIU's lone win came on court two, with Katarina Drozd and Brianna Luoma winning in three sets (18-21, 21-19, 15-13). The team leader in wins, Drozd and Luoma now have 18 victories together as the regular season winds to a close.

Day Two
The Panthers faced off against No. 20 Washington and No. 9 LBSU on day two of the meet. After beating the Huskies earlier in the season, Washington got their revenge, beating FIU, 5-0.

The Panthers could not find any momentum against Long Beach State, dropping the match, 5-0.

UP NEXT
FIU will have an off week before travelling to Youngsville, Louisiana for the CUSA Beach Volleyball Tournament from April 24-26. The Panthers will be looking to take home their first Conference USA championship in program history.
