MIAMI – FIU outfielder Kishon Frett has been named Conference USA (CUSA) Hitter of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
This marks the second weekly honor of the season for the Ocla, Fla., native, following a dominant performance during FIU's series win over New Mexico State. Frett crushed four home runs across three games, driving in six runs and collecting five total hits.
The redshirt senior has now homered in four consecutive games, including a multi-home run performance in FIU's 8-2 victory on Saturday, April 12, against New Mexico State.
Frett leads the Panthers with 14 home runs on the season, a mark that ranks second in Conference USA and 17th nationally. He also paces the team with a .715 slugging percentage and is tied for the team lead with 30 RBI. His eight home runs in conference play are the most by any hitter in CUSA this season.
Over his last five games, Frett is batting .350 (7-for-20) with five home runs and nine RBI.
This is the third CUSA weekly honor for the Panthers in 2025, with Frett also earning recognition on March 3 and Alex Ulloa claiming Hitter of the Week on March 31.
