MIAMI – The FIU baseball program announced its full 2026 schedule Wednesday afternoon, featuring 56 total games, including 27 contests in Conference USA (CUSA) play.
FIU enters its fourth season under head coach
Rich Witten following a successful 2025 campaign that produced the program's most wins since 2017 and 13 Conference USA victories—its highest total since 2018—along with a second consecutive appearance in the CUSA Championships.
The Panthers' 2026 slate includes matchups against six NCAA Tournament teams and one Super Regional participant. FIU will play 33 home games overall, including six non-conference series, with the first 19 contests of the season taking place within the state of Florida.
Season tickets for all 33 home games are now available, with single-game tickets set to go on sale in the coming weeks.
FIU opens the season with a three-game series against Villanova from Feb. 13–15 at FIU Baseball Stadium.
The Panthers will play their first midweek contest on the road in Daytona Beach against Bethune-Cookman, the reigning SWAC regular season and tournament champions. FIU then returns home to host Patriot League champion Holy Cross for a four-game series from Feb. 20–22, highlighted by a doubleheader on Feb. 21.
Following the Holy Cross series, the Panthers travel to Gainesville for a pair of midweek games against SEC powerhouse Florida on Feb. 24–25. The Gators advanced to the NCAA Tournament last season. To close the month of February, FIU hosts CAA opponent Stony Brook from Feb. 27–March 1.
March opens with a pair of midweek games against ACC foe Boston College on March 3–4, marking the programs' first meeting since 2012. FIU then wraps up non-conference weekend play with a South Florida showdown against Florida Atlantic, playing in Boca Raton on March 6 and March 8, with the middle game set for March 7 at FIU Baseball Stadium.
The Panthers conclude their first 19 games in Florida by hosting FGCU on March 10. Conference USA play begins March 13–15, as FIU travels to Bowling Green, Ky., to face reigning CUSA regular season and tournament champion Western Kentucky. The Panthers have won five of the last six meetings between the two programs.
FIU returns home for a crosstown matchup against the University of Miami on March 18 at FIU Baseball Stadium before hosting Sam Houston for a three-game conference series from March 20–22. The Panthers close the month of March on the road at Liberty from March 27–29 before returning home to host Florida Atlantic on March 31, concluding the four-game non-conference series between the two programs.
FIU opens the month of April with a three-game Conference USA series at FIU Baseball Stadium against Louisiana Tech from April 2–4. After hosting Louisiana Tech, FIU will head across town to Coral Gables on April 7 for a midweek matchup against Miami.
The Panthers then return home to open a Conference USA series against Kennesaw State from April 10–12. FIU will follow with back-to-back road trips, traveling to Jacksonville State for a conference series from April 17–19 before heading to Fort Myers to face FGCU on April 21.
FIU will close out the month of April at home, hosting Dallas Baptist, an NCAA Tournament participant in 2025 from April 24–26, followed by a matchup against Bethune-Cookman on April 28.
To open the final month of the regular season, the Panthers will travel to Newark, Delaware, to face CUSA newcomer Delaware from May 1–3. After a one-day break, FIU returns to Coral Gables for another meeting with Miami on May 5.
The Panthers then come back home to take on FGCU on May 6, followed by a conference series against Middle Tennessee from May 8–10 in the home finale.
FIU will conclude the regular season on the road, facing New Mexico State in a final conference series from May 14–16.
The 2026 Conference USA Championship is scheduled for May 20–24 in Kennesaw, Georgia.
All home games will be streamed live on ESPN+, with full broadcast information to be announced at a later date.
