MIAMI — FIU baseball, in conjunction with Conference USA (CUSA), announced its 2027 conference schedule on Wednesday afternoon.
 
The Panthers, under the direction of first-year head coach Pedro Grifol, will play 27 games in CUSA action in 2027, featuring five three-game series at FIU Baseball Stadium and four three-game sets on the road. All series will run Friday through Sunday, with the exception of the Easter weekend series and the final series of the regular season, which will both be played Thursday through Saturday.
 
FIU enters a new era of Panther baseball with Grifol leading the way. The former MLB manager, World Series champion and Miami native takes the helm with a mix of newcomers and notable returning starters, including Aidan Cohall and Samuel Fischer.
 
The Panthers open their conference schedule at home, hosting the New Mexico State Aggies from March 25-27. FIU closed out the 2026 season on the road in Las Cruces, taking two of three games from the Aggies.
 
FIU then hits the road April 2-4, traveling to Murfreesboro, Tennessee, to face Middle Tennessee. The Panthers return home April 9-11 to host Liberty, which advanced to the NCAA Tournament in 2026. The Panthers head back on the road April 16-18 for a series against 2026 NCAA Tournament participant Missouri State in Springfield, Missouri, marking the first meeting between the two programs.
 
FIU then prepares for back-to-back home series, hosting Delaware from April 23-25 before welcoming Western Kentucky from April 30-May 2.
 
The Panthers follow with back-to-back road series, beginning May 7-9 at Sam Houston in Huntsville, Texas, before traveling to Kennesaw State from May 14-16 at the new Mickey Dunn Stadium in Kennesaw, Georgia in the road finale.
 
FIU closes out the 2027 regular season at home, hosting reigning regular-season and conference champion Jacksonville State from May 20-22 at FIU Baseball Stadium. The 2027 CUSA Championship is scheduled for May 26-30 in Huntsville, Texas, hosted by Sam Houston.
