MIAMI– Women's track & field freshman Kylie Neira was named Conference USA Freshman of the Week for her performance in the pole vault at the Music City Challenge, the league announced Tuesday.

At the Music City Challenge, Neira placed third overall in the pole vault with a personal best jump of 4.05m. She was second among competitors attached to a school, and it was the FIU freshman record for the pole vault.

Right now, she is ranked second in CUSA in the event, first among freshmen, and tied for 72nd in the NCAA.
