MANHATTAN BEACH, Ca. - FIU beach volleyball will embark on their toughest road trip of the season to date when they head out to California to participate in the annual East Meets West Invitational, hosted by UCLA on March 13 and 14.

The Panthers will start the meet against their first of four ranked opponents on the weekend, taking on No. 9 LMU, their highest-ranked matchup of the 2026 season thus far. From there FIU will take on No. 13 Hawaii later in the day for just their third matchup against the Rainbow Warriors in program history.
Day two will begin against their second top-10 competitor of the meet in No. 10 Cal, with the Golden Bears currently 8-5 on the season. FIU will end the meet against the host school, UCLA. The Bruins are coming off a NCAA Tournament semifinals berth, and are currently ranked No. 1 in the country.
