ATLANTA– It was a strong weekend all around for FIU outdoor track & field, claiming a total of three events in the Peach State and having multiple standout performances as the team prepares for the conference championships in a few weeks.

Getting things going was Blake Orr, who claimed the event win by several meters in the javelin, launching a 70.01m personal best that places him third in the record books. It's Orr's second javelin win of the season.

Selena Calix followed later that evening with a win on the women's side in the event, finishing with a 45.58m mark. It was also her second javelin win of the season, with both teams winning previously at USF.

Danielle McGonigle continued her strong campaign with another event win, this time in the triple jump. Her mark of 12.97m was third in school history and paced the field by nearly half a meter.

As for other standout performances, Jared Falchook ran a 14:42.41 time in the 5K, the second-best time at FIU. Tim Beauchamp's shot put launch of 15.20m placed him fifth at FIU, and both Kylie Neira and Sydney Nicholson had strong days in the pole vault, with Nicholson's 3.92m mark putting her in eighth at FIU.
