TEMPE, Ariz. - FIU Beach Volleyball (7-9) will head to the Arizona desert when they take on four teams at the Arizona State-hosted Sparky Invitational on April 3-4. The Panthers will see No. 15 Stetson, No. 13 Grand Canyon, Ottawa University of Arizona and the host school, No. 12 Arizona State over the two day event.

FIU's first dual will see the Panthers face their first of three ranked opponents in No. 15 Stetson. The Hatters are 18-5 so far on the season, with two victories over ranked opponents including then-ranked No. 14 Florida Atlantic and No. 17 North Florida. 

The second matchup of day one will be against No. 13 Grand Canyon, with the Lobos currently 10-10 on the season with two ranked wins: then-ranked No. 19 Georgia State, 5-0 and No. 12 LSU, 3-2.

Day two for the Panthers will start with the first dual in program history against Ottawa University of Arizona. The Spirit are ranked No. 1 in the NAIA poll and have a dominating record of 19-1, all of which coming against NAIA opponents.

The final matchup for the Panthers will be against the host-school in No. 12 Arizona State. The Sun Devils are 13-8 on the year, with seven victories against ranked teams, the best wins being then-ranked No. 5 TCU, No. 13 Grand Canyon and No. 13 Hawaii.
