MIAMI — FIU's softball program earned five selections to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District teams, as announced on Tuesday.
Kendall Catherwood, Leah Clark, Paige Miller, Brooke McNichols and Kally Meredith each were honored following standout campaigns both on the field and in the classroom this season.
Catherwood, who started in 51 games as an outfielder for the Panthers, graduated in the Spring with a 3.85 GPA as a Marketing major. Batting .265 in her senior season with 35 hits, she also received recognition on the 2025-26 Commissioner's Honor Roll along with earning Academic Medal Status.
Clark, a junior holding a 3.87 GPA in Marketing, started in 51 games for FIU as a standout middle infielder and earned Second Team All-CUSA status. She led the league with 28 stolen bases while batting .340 with 53 hits.
Miller, who has a 3.79 GPA in Marketing & International Business, started in 50 games for the Panthers at third base. The Kaukauna, Wis.-native had career-highs of 47 total hits and 18 RBI.
McNichols graduated with 3.61 GPA as a Criminal Justice major following a breakout season in the circle as a senior. The Oak Lawn, Ill.-native made 12 starts and had a team-best 2.93 ERA with seven complete games.
Meredith holds a 3.98 GPA in Psychology (Certificate in Team Management) while being one of Conference USA's top players both offensively and defensively. She led the league with 80 hits and a .457 batting average during her junior campaign, earning First Team All-CUSA honors.
