EUGENE, Ore.– Arndis Oskarsdottir placed eighth in the javelin to earn FIU track & field's second consecutive year with an All-American First Team honor, and both
Amaya Bien-Aime and
Janiya Cesar claimed honorable mentions in their Eugene debuts.
Oskarsdottir, who was an honorable mention last season, launched a season-best javelin throw of 54.75m, solidifying an eighth-place finish in the event. She earned the silver in the event during CUSA Outdoors and closed her outstanding sophomore season on the rise. She is FIU's second consecutive First Team member, with
Michaelle Valentin doing so in the discus in 2025.
Both Bien-Aime (23rd, high jump, 1.74m) and Cesar (17th, hammer throw, 62.94m) earned All-American Honorable Mentions for their performances at Hayward Field. For Cesar, she had a personal best on all three of her throws and her mark moved her into second in school history.
