MIAMI — FIU's football program embarks on its second season under head coach Willie Simmons this week, opening up its 2026 Fall Camp on Friday, August 7.
The Panthers start their quest of another successful season under Simmons following the program's first bowl berth in six seasons in 2025. FIU will have 21 total practices, most of which will be at its on-campus practice fields, located adjacent to the south side of the Ocean Bank Convocation Center. The Panthers prep for their season opener in Tampa at USF on Saturday, Sept. 5.
Practices will not be open to the public; however, Panther Club members are permitted to attend as a membership perk. Panther Club members are asked to contact Matthew Lisiewski (mlisiews@fiu.edu) in advance to ensure proper accommodations can be made.
