One of just three FlU women's basketball players to have a jersey retired, Nagy Rowe (1991-95) led FIU to two NCAA Tournament appearances. She finished her college career averaging 14.5 points, 3.6 rebounds and 9.4 assists--the fourth-best assist average in NCAA history, while her 1,136 assists rank second best all-time in NCAA history and her 1,812 career points rank fourth in FlU history. She led the nation in 1994 with 10.3 assists per game and was selected first-team All-America by Kodak, United States Basketball Writer's Association and USA Today. Nagy Rowe played professionally for seven seasons after being selected by the Washington Mystics in the third round of the 1999 WNBA Draft. She also played with the WNBA's New York Liberty and Sacramento Monarchs, and for the ABL's Seattle and Long Beach.
