Panthers lose to Mercer in FIU Classic Championship, 4-3

Box Score MIAMI (Feb. 24, 2013) – FIU's nine-game win streak came to an end on Sunday afternoon, falling to Mercer, 4-3 in the FIU Classic Championship at the FIU Softball Complex.
Amber Curry drove in Jessy Alfonso on a double, who singled and stole second, putting FIU ahead, 1-0 in the bottom of the first.

Mercer jumped ahead, 3-1 in the top of the second after McKenzie Woody tripled to center, plating pinch-runner Molly Garmany and Natalie Shiver. Woody accounted for the third run of the inning, scoring on a wild pitch.
