Box Score FIU fell 3-2 to Middle Tennessee in the final game of the three-game series in Murfreesboro, Tennessee on Sunday afternoon.

The Panthers (22-17, 10-8 Sun Belt Conference) trailed 3-0 before scoring single runs in the sixth and the ninth innings. FIU won the first two games of the series before Middle Tennessee (22-20, 7-11 SBC) salvaged the finale on Sunday.

FIU got its first run in the sixth as T.J. Shantz led off the inning with a double and Aramis Garcia singled before Edwin Rios grounded into a double play as Shantz scored.
Shantz (photo above) and Garcia were each 2 for 4.

Freshman right-hander Alex Seibold started and went five innings allowing three runs.

The Panthers return to the diamond on Friday, April 26 when they open a three-game series with Louisiana at FIU Baseball Stadium.
