MIAMI (March 18, 2014) – The FIU baseball team (16-4, 3-3) hosts the Florida Memorial Lions on Wednesday at 6 p.m. from the FIU Baseball Stadium.

Stick around after the game for an on-field showing of Angels in the Outfield, presented by FIUSPC. Bring your blankets and towels; no chairs please.
FIU will also be raffling off tickets to the Miley Cyrus concert on Saturday, March 22.

- As of March 16, FIU ranks in the top 10 nationally in five different statistical categories.
- Junior catcher
Aramis Garcia has been named to the Johnny Bench Award Watch List, an award that recognizes the nation's top catcher.
- Senior outfielder
Tyler Hibbert is ranked in the top 25 in the country with 10 stolen bases through March 10. He currently leads the conference in that category.
- Garcia is riding a career-high 14-game hitting streak. Sophomore
Edwin Rios and freshman
Brandon Gomez each have 10-game hitting streaks.
- Head Coach
Turtle Thomas earned his 200th career victory on March 8 vs. the Charlotte 49ers.
Last Time vs. FMU
- FIU collected 19 hits on the evening and hit three home runs in a 23-1 victory on Feb. 25.

Deler's home run was one of a few career-firsts for the Panthers that night. Freshman
Kolby Follis tallied his first career-hit, which was a triple that came late in the game. Junior
Alec Beyersdorf also tallied his first career hit in a Panther uniform in the eighth inning, a single up the middle. Anderson tallied six hits in a game for the first time in his career, falling one hit shy of tying the school record of seven.

Season tickets for the FIU baseball season are on sale. Tickets for the 2014 campaign cost just $50 per ticket for all fans this year. Fans can purchase tickets online, over the phone by calling 305-FIU-GAME, or in person at the R. Kirk Landon Fieldhouse Box Office. Student admission is free to all FIU baseball home games.
