Chris Mourelle threw a two-hit shutout as FIU posted a 6-0 victory over Bethune-Cookman at Jackie Robinson Ballpark in Daytona Beach.
- Along with allowing two hits, Mourelle didn't walk a batter. The Miami native retired the last 23 batters of the game. The complete game for Mourelle was the first for FIU since March 29, 2013, when
Tyler Alexander hurled a four-hitter against Arkansas State.

Zach Sweety led the way for the Panthers, getting two hits, both coming on bunt singles.
- Freshman
Brandon Gomez had a hit and led FIU with three RBI.
- The Panthers had four two-out RBI.
Scouting the Wildcats
- Bethune enters Tuesday's contest with a 15-14 record and a 7-5 mark in MEAC competition.
- The Wildcats feature five players that are batting at a .300 clip or higher, including Eric Sams (.356), Matt Noble (.345), Zach Olszweski (.317), Eros Modena (.304) and Austin Garcia (.304). Sams leads the team with 36 hits.
- B-C is hitting .265 as a team and has scored 135 runs. The Wildcats have 53 hits that have gone for extra-bases (38 doubles, 11 triples and four home runs).
