MIAMI (May 7, 2015) – The FIU baseball team (23-25, 11-13 C-USA) will play host to the UAB Blazers (26-21, 11-13 C-USA) in a three-game Conference USA series beginning Friday, May 8. First pitch for the series opener is set for 7 p.m. ET.
The series will continue on Saturday, May 9, at 6 p.m., and will wrap up on Sunday, May 10 at 1 p.m.
On Friday, right-hander
Andres Nunez (4-4, 4.13 ERA, 53K) will take the mound for the Panthers. Saturday will feature right-hander
Cody Crouse (4-4, 4.10 ERA, 38K). In Sunday's finale, sophomore
Chris Mourelle (5-6, 3.66 ERA, 35K) will get the start.

FIU is coming off a pair of mid-week victories over Jacksonville, where the Panthers out-scored the Dolphins, 16-4
The Panthers come into the weekend hitting .275 with 34 home runs and 255 RBI. The team's 34 homers ranks No. 3 in the conference. On the hill, FIU's pitching staff has tallied a 4.05 ERA with 350 strikeouts in 427 innings pitched.
The Blazers hold a 2-1 edge in the all-time series history.
