BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (Sept. 27, 2015) – The FIU volleyball team (8-6, 2-2 C-USA) lost to the WKU Hilltoppers (15-2, 3-0 C-USA), 3-0 (25-21, 26-24, 25-15), on Sunday afternoon for E.A. Diddle Arena.
The Panthers ended the contest hitting .092, while the Hilltoppers posted a clip of .229. FIU held a 5-4 edge in services aces and both teams had 10.0 total blocks apiece.
FIU was led by senior
Lucia Castro, who posted nine kills and nine digs followed by senior
Gloria Levorin and sophomore
Tia Clay, who notched six kills each. Senior
Adriana McLamb, along with Castro, tallied a team-high nine digs. Freshman
Dominique Dodd set a career mark in assists with 14.
The Panthers will host the Marshall Thundering Herd on Friday, Oct. 2. First serve is set for 7 p.m. from Lime Court at FIU Arena
