RUSTON, Louisiana (October 5, 2016) -- FIU ended its three-game road swing with a win, a loss and a tie, finishing with a 2-0 road loss at Louisiana Tech Wednesday night in Conference USA women's soccer action. The loss drops FIU to 2-8-2, 1-3-1 in Conference USA. LA Tech is now 10-3-1, with a level 2-2 C-USA record.
The Lady Techsters were able to jump on the scoreboard early by getting a goal in the ninth minute from Madison Doll.

Sophia Trujillo (Miami, Florida / Gulliver Prep) faced 12 shots in the first half, with six saves.

LA Tech produced the final score of the night in the 70
th minute, when Au'Dresha Spates maneuvered behind the defense for a goal. That score held for the win for the home team.

The Panthers won the battle of shots in the second half, with 10 to LA Tech's seven. Both keepers ended with six saves each.

FIU will return home for its next three games, starting with 1 p.m. Sunday action against ODU.
