With the loss, FIU falls to 0-3 on the year, while GSU improves to 3-0 on the young season.

FIU's bench outscored GSU 28-12 but couldn't stop the 3-point shooting of GSU as the road Panthers sank 9-of-21 shots from behind the arc.
FIU began the game with five Panthers scoring buckets, building a 12-10 lead after the first 10 minutes of action. The lead was short-lived however, as GSU put together a 17-4 run, capturing momentum and a 34-25 advantage heading into halftime.
The home Panthers climbed back into the game midway through the third quarter, as FIU went on an 8-0 run to trim the deficit to just three points entering the final quarter of play.
