DAYTONA BEACH, Florida (Nov. 20, 2018) – The FIU women's basketball team closed out an early season road trip on Tuesday night by falling to Bethune-Cookman in a hard-fought 68-57 decision.
With the loss, FIU falls to 0-5 on the season, while Bethune-Cookman improves to 3-1 on the year.
FIU was led once again by
TaMiracle Taylor, who scored 15 points on the night. Bethune-Cookman's Angel Golden scored 20 to lead the Wildcats.
FIU hung around for majority of the first half and headed to the locker room tied at 31 at halftime. The Panthers led by as many as four before Bethune-Cookman closed the opening half of action on a 10-6 run. The Wildcats carried the pace of play out of halftime, taking a 51-47 lead into the final quarter before opening the final stanza on a 13-4 run that proved to be the difference in the game.
