James Morgan threw two touchdowns on 18-of-32 passing to lead the Panthers on Saturday night. The two scores give Morgan 21 touchdown passes for the season, which ties the school's single season mark set previously by Panther great
Alex McGough in 2015.

FAU's Devin Singletary ran for 184 yards, while scoring three times on the ground. Kerrith Whyte rushed for 165 yards and scored once on the ground to cap the Owl rushing attack.
After FAU raced out of the gate to take a 7-0 lead, the Panthers bounced back in the second quarter following a turnover on downs by the Owls. FIU set up shop at the 29-yard line and didn't waste any time as Morgan and the Panthers scored in only four plays after a specular touchdown grab by
Austin Maloney. Singletary and the Owls struck again before the half however, as the running back put FAU up 14-7 following his four-yard touchdown run.
FIU opened the second half with a scoring drive as Morgan found
Bryce Singleton for a 19-yard score in the back of the endzone for a SportsCenter Top 10 grab. The tie didn't last long however, as FAU scored 35 unanswered points – with Singletary scoring two of the five touchdowns - to take a 49-14 advantage and with it, Shula Bowl XVII.
