TAMPA, FLA (Jan. 27, 2019) – After closing the fall with a win at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational in Hawai'i, the FIU women's golf team kick starts the spring slate at the Florida Challenge.
The one-day, 36-hole event begins Monday at the par-72 Tampa Palms Golf and Country Club. FIU is set to tee off at 8:00 a.m. ET.
"We look forward to playing in Tampa this week. We want to get off to a good start in the Spring Season and pick up where we left off in the Fall," FIU coach
Joseph Vogel said. "We are starting five Sophomores for the first time and I am looking to see how well they work together. Very talented group of young ladies who have earned their opportunity to compete together."
The Panthers face at a six-team field that includes USF, UCF, Miami, Jacksonville and Miami.
The blue and gold will be represented by

Hannah Leiner and
Gabriela Powel.
Ana Maria Rengifo,
Carolina Rotzinger,
Diana Velez and
Michelle Rodriguez will compete as Individuals.
