MIAMI (Feb. 18, 2019) – With Opening Weekend in the rear view mirror, the FIU baseball team turns its sights to the first midweek game of the young season against Bethune-Cookman on Tuesday.
First pitch is slated for 7:00 p.m. at the FIU Baseball Stadium. Tuesday's game will be streamed by

LAST TIME OUT
FIU dropped the first two games of the season against Stony Brook before exploding for 13 runs in Sunday's series finale. The Panther bats battled in 26 runs on the weekend which is the most in an opening season three-game series since scoring 24 runs against Maryland in 2010.
AT THE PLATE
Lorenzo Hampton, Jr. had a monster weekend at the plate against Stony Brook. FIU's lone senior leads the Panthers in a number of offensive categories including batting average (.583), hits (7), doubles (5), slugging (1.250) and total bases (150). Preseason All-CUSA selection
Austin Shenton also added an inside-the-park home run on Sunday to help lead FIU to victory.
UP NEXT
The Panthers will head to Port Charlotte, Fla., on Feb. 22-23 for a two game set with South Dakota State as part of the Snowbird Baseball Classic.
